In cities across the country, dogs are forcibly taken from their families. In some cases, dog owners are arrested because of breed-specific legislation. This is all based on how a dog looks, not how it behaves.
We believe this is unconstitutional and, in several cities, we’re paying the legal fees of dog owners who are taking their city to court.
Will you contribute?
Your donation will go directly toward legal costs so that we can help more families keep their pets.
Our goal is to eradicate breed-specific legislation in the United States and we won’t stop until we do.
Animal Farm Foundation (AFF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization built on the principle that all dogs are individuals. Our Foundation relies on science-based information about animal behavior and public policy, including breed-specific legislation and housing insurance discrimination, derived from our subsidiary National Canine Research Council. AFF’s team offers regional and national initiatives that support dogs and the people who care for them in their communities.
