In cities across the country, dogs are forcibly taken from their families. In some cases, dog owners are arrested because of breed-specific legislation, like what happened to Jessica Burling in Williston, ND. This is all based on how a dog looks, not how it behaves.
We believe this is unconstitutional and, in several cities, we’re paying the legal fees of dog owners who are taking their city to court.
Will you contribute?
Your donation will go directly toward legal costs so that we can help more families keep their pets.
Our goal is to eradicate breed-specific legislation in the United States and we won’t stop until we do.
As an organization that evolves to meet the needs of people and pets, Animal Farm Foundation is currently focused on ending dog breed restrictions, whether they exist in policies or laws.
